Communication expert Christine M. Bacon, Ph.D., is an author, speaker, trainer and the radio talk-show host of "Breakfast with Bacon: The Relationship Doctor." Her latest book, "The Super Couple: A Formula for Extreme Happiness in Marriage," was released by Koehler Books for Valentine's Day 2016.
Whether on the platform, in a book or riding the airwaves, Dr. Bacon’s expertise is in teaching others the skills necessary to navigate all relationships — desired and difficult. Her expertise includes teaching couples and individuals to successfully manage conflict, anger and stress, and more than twelve years’ experience leading pre-marital seminars with Catholic Charities.
As owner and president of CMB Communication, Inc., and the wife of a retired Navy officer, Dr. Bacon also brings more than a decade of experience as a trainer and life-skills education facilitator with the U.S. Navy’s Fleet and Family Support Center and has delivered more than 1,000 seminars to civilians, military personnel and families on such vital topics as healthy relationships, corporate leadership, improving communication skills and respect in the workplace. She has also developed motivational programs for Catholic Charities, government entities and private-sector businesses.
Her Super Couple seminars teach the science of extreme happiness in marriage. Her articles have been featured in both Catholic Online and Designed to Flourish.
Whether they be with a colleague, boss, spouse or the grocery store cashier, Dr. Bacon teaches how relationships, connectivity and trust are crucial in all aspects of life and business, and she does so directly, yet humorously, by speaking and writing the truth in love.
Dr. Bacon holds three degrees in communication. She received her M.A. and Ph.D. in interpersonal communication from Regent University and B.A. in communication from Old Dominion University. Her doctoral dissertation merged marital humor with her own experience and her desire to teach individuals and couples how to build and nurture what Bacon calls "Super" marriages.
She and her husband, Dan, reside in Virginia and enjoy time with their daughters and four perfect grandchildren.
