I’ve been called an organizer, a simplifier, a declutterer, a minimalist, a life coach, and at times, a nudge. I actually strive to be all of the above -- supporting clients to develop both spaces and habits that reduces “stuff” and eases daily life. My role is to work with clients to undo the complicated nature of their homes and lifestyles, helping them find greater peace and productivity. I craft unique strategies for each client because there are no one-size-fits-all solutions.
As one of the first staff of the U.S. Green Building Council, I helped propel its growth from a nonprofit start-up to one of the world’s preeminent environmental organizations. During my twelve year tenure, I honed my project management skills and grew my sustainability knowledge, while launching new programs and creating educational courses and publications.
I devoted myself full-time to my passion in 2015, launching Less Equals More. I continue to grow it outside the traditional realm of professional organizing. Encouraging my clients to work from a deeper level of understanding through the process of downsizing and simplifying, I also incorporate components of sustainability, personal finance, minimalism, and mindfulness. My workshops and blogposts allows me to reach more with my message of simplicity.
I speak about the subject, giving my first TEDx talk in 2018. I have also been featured on the Cool Things Entrepreneurs Do and Tranquility du Jour podcasts.
I’m a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and Certified Financial Education Instructor (CFEI), augmenting the knowledge areas that can address varied client needs.
