I've built two education companies. Neither started with a plan. Here's the actual path: At 18: I left Belgium for Georgetown on a student loan. Paid my way as a barista, exam proctor and teaching assistant. At 20: I started a peer-to-peer coaching business for students. It made $290k in 2 months. My first taste of possibility. At 23: After 3 years in Goldman Sachs M&A and finally clearing my debt, I packed my bags for Singapore with no plan, no network and no safety net, and started Ascend Now. At 31 (now): Built two multimillion-dollar education companies, Ascend Now and The Edge (supporting 120+ schools and 13,200+ students) (For Families: Ascend Now (https://ascendnow.org/) - 1:1 tutoring, college guidance and personal development.
