Born and raised in New York, the son of immigrant parents, Donald was drawn to healthcare at an early age, inspired by watching his mother work as a nurse.
In his nearly twenty years in healthcare, Donald has worked as a critical care nurse in both the hospital and transport settings, emergency room nurse, paramedic, flight nurse, and organ transplant coordinator. He has worked throughout the United States in diverse settings ranging from inner-city trauma centers to rural critical access hospitals.
Donald has always been a gifted communicator. He is able to discuss and break down complicated clinical and health policy issues in an objective, relatable, and easy-to-digest manner that resonates with audiences across the socioeconomic spectrum. This was recognized by the producers of the hit Netflix show Emergency NYC, who featured Donald prominently throughout the series.
Donald is also a skilled writer and is currently working on a draft for his first book.
