Dr.Jones,a nationally Certified Public Mgr,is a diverse and prolific motivational speaker,who conducts leadership trainings,conferences, marriage seminars,and other ad hoc speaking engagements on an international level.He is a life coach,mentor,&a community advocate. He has supervised about 1/3 of North Carolina's 100 counties (3 of 7regions) during his tenure as Regional Supervor with NCDhhs Epidemiology Section.He was the youngest person ever chosen for this position as well as the first African American male in this position to be hired within the ranks of NC Dhhs state employees.Dr. Jones headed the first Emergency Disease Response in N.C. under the then newly-formed Communicable Disease Branch.He has planned & supervised several community disease response plans to curtail & eliminate disease & other health disparities.He supervised a staff of investigators, counselors,et al,who maintained the highest statistical indices per CDC guidelines for N.C. throughout his tenure.Under his tenure,one of the nation's highest morbidity counties saw its rates drop to exponentially.He & his staff were routinely requested to provide expert assistance throughout the state for training needs,disease outbreaks,and program & employee assessments.He was also very instrumental in ensuring public safety&well-being by bringing disease control violators to justice,with successful convictions in all cases bought forth.During his tenure,he maintained the highest retention rate in the HIV/AIDS Unit &created a training plan for Supervisors. Dr.Jones was part of a program for Acute HIV & Disease Tracking that gained international attention,being featured in several medical journals.He provides support to various agencies,as well as churches,in different areas to include,but not limited to:leadership training, focus groups,employee&program assessments and development,motivation&retention,community&media relations,motivational speaking,&other ad hoc services specific to the requesting agency.
