Dr. Barbara Swinney

A John Maxwell Certified Life and Holistic Leadership Expert, Coach and Coach Trainer, Author, Speaker, and an educational leader of almost 30 years, Dr. Swinney has served teachers, students, parents, business leaders, and communities in her role as a classroom teacher, principal, and Assistant Superintendent. She has collaborated with school board members, county commissioners, state representatives, and district and local school leaders to ensure improved teaching and learning in an effort to promote the future health and wealth of the total school community. Her career has allowed her to support leaders in establishing and clarifying their vision and aligning goals so that they are able to expand their capacity to serve their communities and live their purpose from any position.

After experiencing her own, personal pandemic; facing in 2018, Life and Holistic Leadership Expert, Coach Trainer, Speaker, and Author, Dr. Barbara Swinney released her first book, “It’s Always DEEPER: Six Steps to Achieving Perpetual Success”. She wanted to bring other women along to celebrate as she launched the DEEPER Brand at DEEPER Women™ Speak-providing a platform for women in leadership to leverage their stories and strategies for life, love, and leadership! Two years later, during the pandemic, she hosted women from all over the world at the DEEPER Women™ Lead Virtual Conference 2020-the first annual one day of empowerment; helping women begin their healing and leading journey and becoming dynamic speakers, teachers, and leaders of their own lives, in their businesses, and in the workplace. Dr. Swinney’s most recent venture with DEEPER Women™ Lead Global includes the Literary Collaborative, DEEPER Women™ Teach; the 2021 anthology project and the 2022 DEEPER Women™ Lead Atlanta Conference.

Combining approximately 30 years of experience as a leader and student of the holistic approach to leadership, her gifts as a visionary, and her ability to inspire leaders to see themselves differently, Dr. Swinney founded The DEEPER Leader™ Institute for Personal and Professional Development, an accredited coaching certification institute. Through her coaching and coaching certification programs, Dr. Swinney is empowering women in leadership by helping them expand their leadership capacity and broadening their impact using some of their most painful experiences to grow and develop other women through their own platforms and businesses.
