Errol van Engelen is an author, speaker and consultant. He specializes in Transformation Planning, Digitization and Emerging Technologies. Errol is available as a writer, webinar or guest speaker, podcaster or workshop leader. He regularly collaborates with international organizations and therefore often writes and speaks in English.
Errol started his career as a software developer and studied Marketing Management and Business Administration in the evenings, in addition to a full-time job. After completing his studies, he moved on to commercial positions, such as: Business Development (strategic) and Sales (operational). He has been working independently since 2001, with a focus on Transformation Planning, Digitization and Emerging Technologies. Primary markets include Finance, Retail, Telecom, Utilities and Government.
Errol has developed a method (Digital Transformation Planning, DTP) which is an integration of two existing and known methods. The method serves to develop blueprints for Digital Transformation and to successfully implement digitization projects. The method is suitable for all kinds of digitization projects.
In July 2020, Errol published his latest management book “Emerging Technologies: Blockchain of Intelligent Things to Boost Revenues”. In January 2019 he published a management book "New World Technologies: 2020 and Beyond". Errol is now working on the next management book “New Digital Business Models for Post Pandemic Markets”.

Errol has developed Digital Transformation Planning (DTP) which is an integration of two existing and successful methods. In addition to the DTP method, he advises a business / IT alignment team for a faster route from strategy to operation. In his book “New World Technologies: 2020 and Beyond” he described the DTP method in detail, including use cases.
