Floyd has been in the financial services industry for over 15 years. He spent the first ten years of his career at Northern Trust in Personal Trust Operations as a securities processor and within two years was promoted twice to Team Leader. Floyd then moved over to the Wealth Management Consulting Group as an Investment Performance Analyst where he was promoted to an Officer title. While he was in the Consulting Group he obtained his MBA in Financial Analysis and Strategy Execution and Valuation from DePaul University. After two and a half years in that position, he transferred to the Institutional Client Servicing and Sales Group where he provided various investment solutions to Institutional Clients. During his five years in this group, he obtained his CFP certificate along with being promoted to Second Vice President. In 2012 he joined FIS Group as a Manager Research analyst and currently serves a dual role as the Team Leader for the Manager Research department and Associate Portfolio Manager for their Global Equity product. Floyd has also been entrenched within a fintech initiative for Aapryl (a subsidiary of FIS Group) where he is the Assistant Director of Product Research During his time at FIS, Floyd obtained his CFA designation. Over the past couple of years, he has co-authored two white papers: one about understanding momentum-based strategies and another one about the impact of MiFID II on boutique managers, along with contributing to the Aapryl blog while maintaining his own blog about financial literacy. Floyd has spoken/presented across the US and world specializing in the following topics:
