"Leadership is not about you but others. It's about creating a work environment where people can be at their best. It is time to elevate how your people lead!" These words summarize my purpose. I live them through speaking, podcasting, writing, mentoring, and consulting. I practice stewardship daily to help others learn and grow.

My talks and writing are grounded in research and practical application of proven practices.

Combined, I have more than 20 years of corporate and entrepreneurial experience in talent development, Human Resources, and performance improvement. I've worked in 11 different industries.

Why Psychological Safety Is Hard to Achieve and Not Enough

According to a McKinsey study, only 26% of "team leaders" practice psychological safety. Gary explains why teams have difficulty achieving it. The good news is that by making some simple changes, you can increase it among your teams.

Leadership Can Revitalize Your Culture and Team Performance

When part of your workforce is not emotionally engaged, they underperform. While they might appear happy, they do just enough to avoid being noticed. They stay, earn their paycheck, but fail to reach their potential. As a consequence, your organization silently suffers.

Through storytelling and big-picture thinking, Gary DePaul explains how you can start a leadership transformation to strengthen engagement and performance!

What It Means to be A White Male in the United States

It is a simple question, but many cannot answer it. They can explain what it means to be Jewish, disabled, from a city or state, or even a veteran. Yet, when it comes to explaining what it means to identify as a white male, they struggle.

Through storytelling and sharing the Cultural Relativity Multi-Spectrum Model, Gary DePaul explains what being a white male may mean to many. He also explains the disempowerment of stereotyping and some of the biases that interfere with learning from one another.

Gary explains how the practice of leadership can help and talks about the implications for working in teams.
