Guido Romeo is data and business journalist. He writes for Il Sole 24 Ore where he also manages the development of Discovery24, a project supported by the Google DNI initiative. He is also co-founder of the Ngo Diritto di Sapere (Your Right To Know) and among the most active promoters of Foia4Italy, the civil society initiative which was instrumental in drafting the first Italian Freedom of Information Act passed in 2016. Graduated from the University of Bologna, he holds a journalism degree from the Ècole Supérieure de Journalisme in Lille, France, and a masters in communications. He has been Armenise-Harvard science-writer fellow at the Harvard School of Medicine and winner of the Astra Zeneca award for science communication, the Piero Piazzano science and environment reporting award, the Amundsen prize for coverage of climate change and the Voltolino, Italy’s most prominent prize for science reporting. In 2013 Guido has been appointed member of the National commission of statistics users by Istat's president.
