Jamaal Demetric Pittman is a recognized copy editor and screenwriter from North Carolina. Growing up in Tarboro, he played in the high school band and joined the track team before graduating valedictorian of his class.
He graduated with a B.A. from Morehouse College. Following his graduation, he spent two years teaching eighth grade math. Jamaal considered this as a once-in-a-lifetime experience that gave him the opportunity to positively impact the lives of young children.
After that, he relocated to Arizona in 2006, where he joined a talent agency. There, Jamaal got the chance to land bookings with magazines, fashion shows and print ads for national brands.
Furthermore, Jamaal has been a freelance writer who creates, copy edits and proofreads different types of content for his clients. He is also a successful screenwriter, having written or cowritten several comedy pilots and feature dramas. His most recent work, Long Way Home, won Best Feature Drama Script at Nashville Film Festival Screenwriting Competition.
At present, he is based in Los Angeles, California. Besides acting, modeling and writing, he spends his free time exploring nature through hiking.
