As a college athlete, I was a part of the eighty-five percent of players that didn’t get into trouble and didn’t have major issues with grades. However, it took me until my senior year to figure out what I was going to do after graduation. Prior to making this decision, I believed I was going to play football professionally, so I didn’t seek out other professional development opportunities and not many were afforded to me. Thankfully, I was able to find an opportunity that allowed me to transition into the next phase of my life after graduation. Sadly, there were many young men that weren’t as blessed - I see this as a problem.
