Surviving Extreme Scenarios with Innovation

What would you do if a business upstart with a new idea threatened to ruin your business like Uber threatens the taxi business? What if a new law criminalised your business model? How would you cope if a natural disaster destroyed your headquarters or a major factory?

This presentation or interactive workshop looks at how extreme scenarios could adversely affect your business and how you can use innovation now, to insure against disaster as well as how you can use innovation if your business becomes a victim of an extreme scenario.

Creativity Tips, Tricks and Techniques

The aim of this workshop is simple: it will enable you and your team think more creatively to feed innovation, solve problems and achieve goals.

In this workshop, participants will learn...

1) The critical importance of understanding a situation before trying to be creative.

2) How the mind forms ideas and how to use that understanding to boost creative thinking.

3) A number of practical techniques that you can use when you need creative ideas.

To get maximum value from this talk or workshop, I recommend we use problems, challenges and goals from your organisation as examples.

Introduction to Anticonventional Thinking (ACT)

If you have tried brainstorming only to be disappointed by the results, you will love anticonventional thinking (ACT) an effective alternative to brainstorming developed by Jeffrey Baumgartner and the subject of his third book.

In this talk, you will learn why brainstorming does not work, how ACT works and a collection of ACT tools you can use to build truly innovative ideas individually and as a team.

Creativity and DIshonesty

Did you know there was a strong connection between creativity and dishonesty? Well, there is.

In this talk, Jeffrey explains why creative people tend to be less honest than non creative people, why dishonesty helps creativity and how you can use this understanding to be more creative -- while still being honest and ethical. This talk is funny and informative.
