Growing up in a city isn’t always easy. There are many
influences, some good, some bad. That’s how it was for
John Bitinas who was raised in Lowell, MA. By falling
into the wrong crowds, drugs and alcohol had taken
everything he had. He lost relationships with his family,
friends and business associates. Having lived through it
himself, John’s sharing of life experiences goes far
beyond mere facts.
After hitting rock bottom, John entered a well-known
and effective drug treatment program that gave him the
tools to live a successful life in sobriety. Since
graduating the program, John has dedicated his life to
sharing his experiences with others as well as effectively
communicating that one can be in control of their life
and is empowered to do great things. “Knowledge is
power. While struggling with addiction, there were a lot
of things I thought I knew, but the truth was that I had a
lot of false information. I based a lot of my views and
ideas off of this, which only made my problems worse.”
John partners with many organizations that aid communities through drug prevention, education workshops, and seminars. In just 5 years, he has shared his story and provided effective drug education services to over 250,000 children and adults. John tells us, “I love to motivate and inspire. My purpose is to help kids and adults become more aware of the consequences of drug and alcohol use before they begin.” Instead of the usual scare tactics, John presents factual information coupled with his life as an addict on the streets. He demonstrates that a drug free, productive life is not only possible, but desirable and attainable.
John Bitinas is an award-winning speaker who captivates his audience by communicating on their level. It does not matter the age of the audience, as he has a way of clearly communicating his message to all, and they get it! Audiences invariably leave John’s
presentations with a smile as well as with useful information about drug abuse and addiction.
John has also successfully worked with many businesses from administration to manufacturing. He has assisted employers in confronting drugs in the workplace, which are challenges that have affected their bottom lines. “Employee retention and core values are a crucial aspect to a company’s success. When drugs, either directly or indirectly get in the way
of a business’ purpose, then the activity and thus production breaks down.”
John comes highly recommended from those he has worked with in the past.
