They are everywhere, and if organizations aren’t careful, they will stifle morale, squash engagement, and ultimately destroy performance. Who are they? Bossholes. The time has come for us to help these people who may not know they have achieved Bosshole status within their organization. They generally have very low self-awareness, do not actively seek feedback from their peers or direct reports, and potentially ruin careers with no intention of doing so. But this plague of Bossholes can be reversed when organizations choose to apply some proven steps that use objective data and analytics to optimize the “fit” of people into positions of leadership.
