The academic voyage of Jonathan Fredi began at Louisiana State University, where he earned his undergraduate degree in Spanish Linguistics. In his five-year vacation in Spain, he worked with a UNESCO division focused on educational improvements, particularly for women, highlighting his steadfast commitment to sustainable and accessible education.
Upon returning to the U.S. in 2012, Jonathan embarked on a career in public service. He joined the office of U.S. Senator John Cornyn, where he undertook roles in constituent relations and Hispanic outreach. Jonathan made a career pivot in 2015, moving to the non-profit sector with the USGLC. Here, he made significant contributions towards sustaining the international affairs budget. His efforts were geared towards promoting international and economic development and advocating diplomatic strategies as alternatives to interventions by the Department of Defense.
In 2019, Jonathan made another career transition, moving into the energy/utility sector and joining Baldwin Associates as Head of Community Engagement. In this role, his responsibilities were extensive and varied. They included negotiating gas prices, handling franchise agreements, crisis management, and distributing philanthropic funds. Notably, representing over 20 cities in North Texas, Jonathan led a team to successfully build Dallas's first zero-net energy Habitat for Humanity home.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Jonathan is an enthusiastic nature lover and devoted community volunteer. His love for outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and fishing returns to his Eagle Scout days. His passion for cooking and exploration was born during his time in Spain, allowing him to absorb diverse cultures and cuisines.
