Juergen Hoebarth

Juergen started to get involved early with cryptocurrencies back in 2014. Today, he is a speaker and strategist who thinks ahead in terms of what will come next and how it affects our society and businesses.

Juergen laid the foundation for Austrianstartups.com, which has evolved into a proper foundation fostering the Austrian Startup ecosystem, and founded a number of companies throughout the last 10 years, such as RealLifeConnect (NFC event tech solutions) and Haexagon Concepts (transmedia storytelling strategies).

Today, he is managing director of Tokenization Limited – the world’s premier business development and strategy consultancy for tokenization. We are a global decentralized technology, blockchain and tokenization advisory, marketing and consulting syndicate.

Throughout recent years, he invested substantial time into trading cryptocurrencies and invested in a number of early blockchain companies through ICOs.

This experience and know-how have led to speaking engagements for corporations and nongovernmental organisations around the world, as well as public speaking appearances at the Rise of ICO Summit, Future and Reality of Gaming, ICO Event Amsterdam, WeAreDevelopers, Asia Blockchain Expo, Blockchain International Show London and more.

Cryptocurrency Investing

The crypto environment is witnessing the emergence of more and more start-ups based on distributed ledger technology in different spheres. There are some that fail, but a large number of innovative ideas find investors and attract venture funds without major problems. What does this tell us about the current crypto situation and what will happen in the future? In the framework of this topic, Juergen will deliver a presentation, “Venture funds are looking into crypto. A good sign?” in which he will discuss the issue.

The World Gets Tokenized

One of the most exciting applications that can be implemented via blockchain technology is tokenization. This new technology enables the storage of value, and as a result, one can bring any form of asset to the blockchain. Tangible assets such as gold, properties or luxury goods and intangible assets such as patents, copyrights or any form of contracts can be managed, traded or even used as collateral. Along with this possibility comes a shift in how business models are developed and how they have to be structured to serve the ideas of decentralization, distribution and tokenization.

Esports on the Blockchain

The way e-sports companies are launched and operate is transforming, causing the rise of blockchain technologies, such as smart contracts and cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum. As Ethereum becomes more and more popular, numerous e-sports platforms are jumping on board to get funding via an ICO and to make use of the blockchain itself. The decentralized structure of a blockchain positively serves e-sports-related services, such as betting, wagering, prediction gaming or anonymously buying and selling digital items and goods.
