This session will briefly review “things to think about” when managing someone directly–including a toolkit of tactics for using when responding to questions your supervisee might come to you with (during an appraisal or otherwise).

This session would aim to help participants consider how they can take responsibility for projects with a strategic vision and then add polish before sharing products with clients. It will ask participants to consider both traditional presentation skills, and the foundations of ownership, vision, and leadership that good presentations (of self and projects) demand.

This session will have managers identifying ways that they can actively impact the effectiveness of their teams. It will incorporate tenets of communication and leadership theory, and managers will walk away with an action plan for helping their team members to be more successful both as individual contributors and collectively.
