Bio

Kendra is a strategically transparent and audacious empowerment speaker, author, mentor, and missionary. She is the founder of International Kendra, a mission committed to fearlessly crossing ethnic, religious, cultural, and societal barriers to break chains of oppression and brokenness through conferences, social media, and mentoring. She is the visionary behind The Safe Haven®, an upcoming innovative global initiative to establish transitional shelters for women/girls who are victims of heinous violence due to the imbalances and prejudices in culture and society. In addition, she is the author of “The Walk: From Hearing to Knowing”, a compelling and riveting book about her personal triumphant journey through some of life most difficult, controversial, and taboo challenges.

She has been a guest speaker at many events, also made special appearances in the media, including the North Dallas Gazette, the PraisElujah Radio Show, Phenomenal Woman TV, and the We Are Survivors Radio Show. (all on International Kendra YouTube Channel). Her written work has been featured in Simply Woman magazine and Bliss and Fire Network Magazine. Kendra is also a member of several prominent organizations, including International Women of Faith and Fellowship (IWOFF), and Powerful Women International Connections (PWIC). She serves as the Vice President of Chapter Services for the Management Council and the VP of Communications for the North Dallas chapter of Women of Visionary Influence (WOVI), and is a leader-in-training for WomanSpeak, a national organization that teaches women how to speak boldly and publicly, and no longer suffer oppressively in silence...

Three of the top terms that others have used to describe Kendra are: women of wisdom, a pillar of strength, and a determined spirit. Those are “stripes” that she humbly wears with dignity, from the battle scars that came with them. She has learned through the years to be direct yet empathetic, and a person who does not limit herself to any ‘box’, border, or tradition. Her travels overseas, along with her personal/professional relationships and exposures, have given Kendra a greater understanding of many world cultures and taught her how to listen and communicate more strategically and effectively with those from diverse backgrounds.

Woman, the Master Piece

Engaging and empowering session about the issues and challenges that are part of every female’s journey, regardless of race, region, religion - or occupation - and how to use that "uniqueness" to live an abundant life. Strategically transparent discussion about personal obstacles and setbacks, and their role in leading the woman to her destiny. This workshop is drawn from my book, “The Walk, From Hearing to Knowing”, my article called “I Am Woman, Every Day and in Every Way” that is featured in Simply Woman magazine, and the foundation experiences that led to the formation and mission of International Kendra. This was derived from my book, “”The Walk: From Hearing to Knowing” and the foundation of the International Kendra mission.

Finding Objectivity in an Offended World

This idea is a topic of conversation that, though might be a bit challenging for some, is relevant and vital to our society and world. It is important for us to learn how to use strategic wisdom when communication with others, knowing our audience (or those we thrive among), and work on the concept of wisely conveying our thoughts without compromising our own identity through unnecessary appeasement. In order to live productive and healthy lives, the idea of respecting differences in opinions, lifestyles, and traditions - within the bounds of a structured foundation - should be a priority, without the worry of being punished for not agreeing to or manipulated into accepting it. I want to provide examples and scenarios to the audience of instances of how we silently ostracize, marginalize, or criticize people of different backgrounds, beliefs, or traditions than our own, on a normal basis - and how the 'offended' party is often prone to take measure to force acceptance onto the ones th

Daughter of My Heart/Son of My Soul

This deeply transparent presentation brings the unspoken and often 'taboo' thoughts and challenges of parenting to the spotlight. Many people (men and women) battle regrets, bitterness, and depression due to conception of a child at the "wrong time" - yet, begin to understand and accept that the child was exactly what was needed, and at the right time.

Chosen, Yet Unqualified

Living in a society divided and conditioned by class, we can often feel like we do not measure up or do not meet the expectations set forth. In this presentation, the audience will learn that many great men and women, of past and present, derived form humble beginnings and used the 'weaknesses' to overcome some of like's greatest challenges.

Relationships, from Ruins to Restoration

"Relationships: From Ruin to Restoration" - compelling workshop presentation about the power of relationships, and how unhealed wounds and unforgiven mistakes form our past affect our ability to have healthy and wholesome relationships. We take a necessary yet difficult look at ourselves, identifying repeated behavior and actions that often lead to brokenness in our relationship with others - and ourselves, and learn practical steps to overcome those barriers.
