Bio

Kevin D Sansberry II is a leadership consultant and researcher with expertise in: destructive leadership, human resources, employee engagement, relationship/performance management and organizational culture.

Over the years, Kevin has focused on developing effective, high performance teams within firms in higher education, nonprofit and various fortune 500's.

Kevin is currently completing his doctorate in business administration from The University of MIssouri-St. Louis with an emphasis on abusive leadership, organizational culture and employee coping.

Kevin received his MBA from The University of Missouri-Kansas City with an emphasis in leadership & change in human systems and general management. Kevin received his bachelor’s degree in psychology and business administration from the University of Central Missouri.

Kevin is a certified consultant through Myers Briggs Foundation as well as the Center for Conflict Dynamics.

Kevin has been active member in many organizations and boards in the Kansas City, Missouri area serving as an Human Resources consultant and special adviser.

Building a Humanistic and Encouraging Workplace

Employees thrive in workplaces with Humanistic-Encouraging leaders. These leaders promote constructive behaviors which facilitate not only employees to "fit in" but further, the belong. In this workshop, we will spend time discussing why we should rethink our approach with questions and move from interrogation to curiosity. We will then spend time learning and analyzing how positive psychology can benefit our leadership approach, generating optimal results and a more constructive organizational culture.

Leading by Communicating Effectively

In this course we spend time harnessing the impact of effective listening and communicating based on interpersonal awareness. Employees have different preferences for motivation and analyzing information. The goal of any great manager is listening in such a way to find the optimal path for their employee to achieve their results.

Diffusing power with Transformational Leadership

In diffusing power with transformational leadership, we will discuss the notion of power in the workplace. We will engage in workshop style activities to assess, discover and unpack how power manifest within us, our systems and how a lack of delegation may hinder our own growth. Participants will create individual action plans to take back to their work environment to enhance their leadership approach as it relates to the diffusion of power.

Effective Leadership: Plan, Organize and Delegate

In Effective Leadership: Plan, Organize and Delegate, we will examine what conditions make for optimal performance. Specially, we will be discussing the research and practice behind transformational leadership. Participants will engage in group activities and discussion that facilitate the planning and organization required to effectively delegate.

The Leader as Coach

Building on the focus on transformational leadership, participants will gain skills in using asset-based principles to coach employees to achieve results. Participants will engage in a series of practice, discussion and further learn from each other on how to manage employee performance, motivation while cultivating an environment of psychological safety.

Solution-focused cognitive-behavioral coaching

This workshop will examine the components of the solution-focused cognitive behavioral coaching framework. The SF-CB paired with practical workplace examples, will give participants an easy to use and easy to apply framework for their needs in managing employee performance.
