Dr. Kimberly Schehrer is a Teen Breakthrough Expert and Founder of Academy for Independence. She specializes in leadership, education and personal development. She works closely with teens, who she feels are a misunderstood group brimming with potential. Dr. Kimberly has over 15 years of experience working with parents and teens as a Teen Breakthrough Expert, counselor, and an education specialist at schools, private institutions and within the community in Silicon Valley and beyond. She is passionate about our next generation of leaders.

Dr. Kimberly’s desire is for our teens to harness their greatest Super-Power, themselves, just as they are, and up-level to unleash their full potential. Her passion is further ignited by watching them soar in the world to create transformation within themselves and their community. Within three months of Breakthrough Coaching, he was named, "Student of the Month." Within 6 months, he was on the Honor Roll. he maintained his Honor Roll status and the following year, he was prepping for college by taking Advanced Placement courses.
