I have an extensive background in training and development.
Having developed and implemented a national management and employee training program for B.C. Harris Publishing (the nations largest publisher of alumni directories).
I have also done extensive national training through my work with CTCnet (an international non-profit organization with over 1200 members worldwide). National Seminars Group, Padget-Thompson, and Alliance Work Partners having taught numerous workforce topics.
I am the owner of LJ Smith Enterprises Inc, a company which focuses on workforce development and training, for employees on all levels.
We've worked on several projects involving curriculum development and improving resources for trainers. We've contracted with EnterAbility, Inc. in partnership with SER Jobs for Progress and the DOE, to providing training for the elderly to become employed with CVS Pharmacies. We've also worked with Consolidated Safety Services, teaching “Rebuilding Healthy Homes” a HUD program, designed to educate Hurricane Katrina victims on how to clean up their homes after a hurricane.
We are currently working in partnership with Intelligent Resources, too recurit and hire new employees. We are also involved in educating small businesses on the E- verify process.
