Through the recounting of many of my personal experiences, which are contained in my memoir, "Believe to Achieve - The Power of Perseverance," you will learn how to recognize even just a crack in the "window of opportunity" to achieve success by creating your own opportunities. While there are a few among us who seem to have opportunities drop into their lap, the "rest of us" need to diligently look for and recognize the potential opportunities that are out there. When I was in grade school I was absolutely petrified to stand in front of the class to give ANY presentation, such as an oral book report for example (having been born without left hand I HATED being stared at... silly today, but not then). I got over that mostly by taking a drama class in high school where I excelled at readings, improv and more. Later in life,, because I kept being thrust into situations where I had to address executive managers, do sales presentations, or even go on job interviews, I honed my presentation skills. After a life-changing experience earning a free-agent tryout with the Washington Redskins I was again asked many times to talk about that experience at local service clubs, schools and other venues. My grade school teachers would be amazed to know that I have since given hundreds of keynote speeches across the country for more than three decades. In this half-day or full day workshop I share how to develop and deliver a memorable, impactful presentation.
