Mary Prenon

Mary T. Prenon grew up in suburban Philadelphia. After receiving a bachelor of arts in journalism from Temple University in Philadelphia, she began her career as a broadcast reporter, radio show host and news anchor in suburban New York City. During her radio career, she received two Associated Press Broadcast Awards.

Prenon also worked as a press secretary for a New York Congressional campaign before transferring to print reporting for various business and real estate publications. Over the course of her life, she has written nearly a thousand newspaper and magazine articles.

Later, she joined the largest advertising agency in suburban New York City as an account manager, planning publicity campaigns for clients including major hotel chains, destination spas, hospitals and developers.

Currently, she is the director of communications for one of hte largest Realtor associations in New York. She handles all internal communications, event planning, as well as reporting for a real estate trade publication.

"I’m Lazy, and I Love to Eat" is Prenon’s first book. She has been a featured guest on ABC and NBC morning shows, and has spoken at a Women's Council of Realtors' breakfast seminar, as well as various libraries throughout the Hudson Valley, NY.
