Neuroscience of Memory for Marketers
An engaging, accessible, and practical exploration into the how the neuroscience of memory can be applied to create enduring memories in the minds of consumers. Why is designing for memory so crucial? The consumer can have the most incredible experience, but if this doesn’t leave them with a lasting impression, it’s value to the brand is lost. To understand how to do this optimally, we need to explore the neuroscience of memory. Recent discoveries in this field indicates that this designing for memories is not the same thing as designing for experiences. For example, very specific things are given special treatment by the brain and weighted more heavily in memory. This includes for example, highly interactive experiences, experiences with specific types of emotions, and experiences which engage multiple senses at once. This talk will detail the most specific features that can be incorporated into the consumer experience to ensure the strongest memory and overall impression
