Mike Lanigan is an Ergonomist with Workplace Safety and Prevention Services, serving the eastern Ontario region. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo. He is a Registered Kinesiologist (RKin) through the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario and a full member with the Association of Canadian Ergonomists, as well as serving as the Kingston area Sectional Representative. Work has included physical/job demands analysis, ergonomic risk assessments, implementation of human performance/productivity improvement measures, facilitating ergonomics training, and presenting at health and safety conferences. Ergonomic work has been performed in a wide variety of environments, including: offices, manufacturing, municipal, federal and provincial government, warehouse, agriculture/landscaping, education, and transportation. Mr. Lanigan’s additional expertise includes working with engineers in the design phase and assisting injured workers in returning to an early and safe employment.
