Organizers should choose me because I bring real experience from every part of the story I teach. I've covered the Pentagon during the Iraq war, shaped a national narrative as a communications director, and taught Oakland students to write and think critically. I've also built partnerships across schools, families, and community organizations as a regional content lead. That range means I don't just talk about communication and leadership in theory. I've done the work in newsrooms, classrooms, and neighborhoods, so I can connect with students, alumni, and professionals alike. Rooted in the Bay Area, I speak with authenticity and a commitment to community, and I make sure every audience leaves with practical, memorable takeaways they can use right away.
