Branding Is Like Dating: How to Woo Your Customers

Do you worry about where to start with establishing your brand and wonder if you're speaking your customer's language? Branding Is Like Dating: How to Woo Your Customers focuses on how to approach branding your business the same way you would build a new relationship. Marketing is no longer B2B or B2C. It's H2H (Human to Human). We will cover not only the stages of wooing your client, but also how to create the long-term partnership you want instead of succumbing to the pitfalls of a client relationship while remaining true to yourself and your brand. Whether you are just starting your business or thinking about reigniting or shifting the focus of your brand, this session is for you ladies! You will walk away with a new perspective about what branding is, how to make sure it resonates with the right people, and give you the confidence to make decisions about your brand that will yield results.

The Strategic Creative: Make Magic in Your Career

You have a brand whether you are being strategic about it or not. Often we are so focused on branding our clients and their businesses that we don’t take the time to be strategic about our own. In this session, you will learn some key elements to building a personal or business brand as a creative. How you set goals, create a lane for yourself, tell your story, and build community makes you who you are. Whether you are an employee, freelancer, or business owner, having a brand that represents you authentically IS the magic, and it will give you the creative career of your dreams!

Stiletto Strategy: How to Build Your Personal Brand

Presentation Description (maximum 250 words):
How do you build a personal brand without losing the personal part? Often you may feel like you need to be someone other than yourself when you're in a professional setting. Building a personal brand can be organic but the best ones are built authentically and strategically. Once you know who you are and what you stand for, your reputation will speak for itself. Whether it's the stilettos you choose, what you say on social media or how you choose to move up the corporate ladder, it all matters. Those pieces of your personality are what make it possible for you to create lasting relationships with influencers in your industry.

Nakita M. Pope, Chief Chick and Brand Strategist at Branding Chicks we will discuss how to think like a brand, genuinely connect with your colleagues and clients, and pinpoint strategic methods to achieve your goals.

Empathy in Advertising

So often the reason that marketing and advertising doesn’t land with our audiences is because it doesn’t speak to them or for
them. As strategists, writers, art directors and designers who create these materials it is our job to create work that does just
that, but how? What’s missing is empathy. Being open and aware to seeing the person you are targeting and not just the personas
or stereotypes that have been attached to them is what touches people and endures them to a brand.

The Creative Team of the Future

The first step to creating work that speaks to the diversity of products and services that our clients represent and the diversity of thought of the community-at-large is to have a creative team that looks like the world around us. The curation and cultivation of that team have to be both thoughtful and strategic.

Career Competencies of Creative Leaders
Branding for Creatives: Living a Life of Leverage

○ As creatives, we are expected to be thought leaders in a variety of ways for a variety of industries. But who leads the thought leaders? Whether you are leading a creative team or want to be a respected member of the creative community, you need the tools to get there. Being a leader of creatives means creating an environment for creativity to emerge. You push. You encourage. You question. You see the big picture.

How do you build a personal brand without losing the personal part? Often you may feel like you need to be someone other than yourself when you're in a professional setting. Building a personal brand can be organic but the best ones are built authentically and strategically. Once you know who you are and what you stand for, your reputation will speak for itself.
