Precious Kofi is a South African visual artist and speaker who is also known for her work as an actress, host and television producer. As a teenager Kofi created and produced Keeping It Real with Precious, a youth talk show which went on to air for several seasons allowing young South Africans to have their voices heard on a national platform. Her producing title then expanded to that of Executive Producer as she created yet another first for the nation with her Pan African documentary series titled Precious Africa.
The impact of Precious Africa allowed Kofi to be chosen by Mrs Obama’s office as youngest of 6 African female leaders on the continent to anchor The First Lady Forum. The forum was created by the Obama administration in the USA and allowed the anchors a platform to mentor young female entrepreneurs from around the African continent.
Along with her work on television, Precious has been an advocate for building and creating opportunities for the youth of South Africa to experience an even playing field when it comes to education and access to information. This has seen her raise funds as well as personally sponsoring the tertiary education for grade 12 students who desire to further their studies.
Now a speaker and painter with upcoming exhibitions in the USA, Brazil and South Africa. Kofi continues her communicative work by using her words and brushstrokes in opening a dialogue on the importance of unlocking your creative power
