I am a board certified obstetrician/gynecologist with 30 years of clinical experience in diagnosing and treating women’s health issues. I am a former Chief of Staff of Trinity Hospital in Augusta, Georgia as well as a former head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at that hospital. In 1994 I was awarded the National Focus on Patient Education Award by the American College of Ob-Gyn for my innovative patient education program on menopause, and have been listed in “America’s Best Doctors” for the past ten years.
I am the author of three books, “Holy Hormones”, “Healthy Habits for a Fit Family” from Bethany House Publishers and, most recently, “A Woman’s Guide To Hormone Health” also from Bethany House. I have authored numerous magazine articles in such publications as New Man Magazine and The Godly Businesswoman. For the past ten years I have written a monthly column in the Augusta Family Magazine on women's health. My newest E-book is “One Life: A Parable of Healing”.
I have appeared on numerous national TV and radio shows such as Life Today with James Robison, Moody radio, and Janet Parshall’s America discussing and commenting on the health issues of the day.
Expanding on my love of fitness and healthy lifestyle choices I serve as a clinical advisor to the American Running and Fitness Association and have completed 69 marathons and half marathons on three continents.
