The Antidote to Burnout
The adrenaline of the last 2 years is wearing off and we're beginning to see the toll it's taken on our employees. In this session, participants will be taken through tools that prevent or address burnout and support their resilience. Participants will become more aware of what their stressors are and what others may see/hear/experience from them when they are stressed. When we can recognize our symptoms of stress sooner, we can intervene and prevent negative outcomes. This helps participants recognize that the behaviours they see in others can be due to something deeper so rather than take negative behaviours personally, they can be more objective when supporting staff. The tool won't just impact our own behaviours, but our interpersonal behaviours as well. Once participants have completed this tool, they can leverage it for others by facilitating it to leaders or staff within the organization to help them support their own resilience as well.
Leading By Example: Using Emotional Intelligence To Improve The Employee Experience
Emotional intelligence can impact the outcome of every interaction we participate in. These can be interactions with our staff, our family and friends, strangers, and even ourselves. In this interactive session, Sarah will discuss the domains that impact emotional intelligence and guide learners through activities that can be leveraged to improve your skills in each domain.
No Doctor's Note Necessary
Have you ever received that doctor's note that read's Needs less stress. and wondered where to even begin an accommodation plan? In this session, Sarah shares a resource developed by healthcare professionals who recognized the need for a process that focused on workplace issues rather than medical issues. In particular, the resource helps compare the employer's job expectations with the employee's current abilities. It also supports a discussion with the employee on what they need to do their job successfully.
