Susan is an experienced public service Attorney who transitioned into Real Estate in 2013. But she started her life in the California foster care system, entering as a baby. Six years after entering the system, she was removed and placed with her biological father, who had previously lost his parental rights, and moved to Nebraska to be with he and his new wife along with one of her 3 siblings. Six months after moving to Nebraska, her father severed his spine in a diving accident where he became a quadriplegic.
She is a proud Cornhusker, graduating from two of the Nebraska University campuses and lives in Lincoln, NE with her husband and 4 daughters. She worked as a Deputy County Attorney, Special Attorney General representing Children and Family Services, and as a Deputy Director of Medicaid for the State of Nebraska prior to transitioning into her real estate career.
Susan also was an Adjunct Instructor for a local community college for 5 years. She taught Criminal Law classes as well as Business Ethics. It was there that she learned of her passion to teach. She's provided presentations, talks and learning events regarding a variety of topics. Currently she is focusing on presentations focusing on transition, adaptation and resiliency while utilizing her own personal stories, sarcasm and humor.
