Tamara is an award winning Lecturer at the International Center for Studies in Creativity at SUNY Buffalo State. Additionally, she consults as a trainer and facilitator in creativity, leadership development, retention and empowerment. Tamara is qualified in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Strong Interest Inventory, FourSight, and The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. She designs and delivers workshops in the above areas for the public sector, educators, students and the business community.
Tamara teaches two courses; one in the nature and nurture of Creativity and Disruptive Change Leadership and another in mastering the academic environment. As a consultant, she provides workshops, presentations, keynotes and training events for such organizations as Soledad O’Brien’s Starfish Foundation, National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL), Harford Community College, Iowa State University, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Workplace Options, Department of Labor (Hamburg), Medaille College, North Carolina A&T and Colleges in the SUNY system. Other clients have included Steve Tasker Self-Leadership Experience camp, Dress for Success Erie and Child and Family Services of Erie County.
Known for her presence, Tamara was one of ten speakers for the inaugural TEDx BuffaloWomen conference held in Buffalo, New York in December 2012. She was also a contributing writer for an online magazine that highlights, supports and empowers women. Stilettos on the Glass Ceiling has been named top 100 best career websites by Forbes magazine in 2013. Tamara offered guidance and suggestions under the Career column.
Tamara's background is diverse. She has been a pharmaceutical senior sales executive, advertising agent, HP and Sun UNIX sales representative, and student employment coordinator. In her spare time, Tamara likes to read, journal and travel.
Tamara is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and CSPA. She holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degrees both from SUNY Buffalo State College. A certificate of advance studies in Creativity and Change Leadership from SUNY Buffalo State College (May 2017). She’s also a doctoral candidate in the Educational Leadership Policies program at the University of Buffalo.
