Vanessa A. Lindley is the CEO of Lindley Consulting Group LLC. She is a dynamic speaker, trainer, financial coach, consultant, and author. Her mission in life is to help individuals, families, and organizations understand the financial impacts of daily life and help them to create a lasting legacy. Her focus is in the areas of personal finance, financial behaviors, leadership development, and legacy creation.
Vanessa is an alumnus of the Goldman Sachs 10K Small Business program, a certified MWBE. In her experience in the financial services field she has been a State Farm Agent and Real Estate Broker, where she held licenses in insurance, Series 6 and 63 and achieving numerous awards for outstanding sales and customer service.
As an author Vanessa has written and contributed to several publications and curricula such as, “Achieve Financial Victory, 7 Steps to Win with Your Money,” “Life Balance for the Women on the Rise,” “Realizing the American Dream,” “Financial Coaching: Helping Clients Reach their Goals” and “Delivering Effective Financial Education for Today’s Consumer.” She hosts her branded workshops called the “Vision Salon” and the “Money Salon,” where she helps participants clarify their vision, learn to live on purpose and create a lasting legacy.
With over twenty years experience in her field her client list includes Citi, Chase, Columbia University, the State of New York, St. John’s University, NeighborWorks America, the National Urban League, the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Freddie Mac, Dfree, New Jersey CDC, Children’s Aid Society among other organizations, municipalities and unions.
On her mission to help people recover from financial crisis, Vanessa assisted victims of Hurricane Katrina where she traveled to New Orleans and other parts of Louisiana to educate them on access to financial products to rebuild their communities. She has also worked on a task force to assist Hurricane Sandy victims in NY and NJ in the same efforts.
Vanessa is a member of Jack & Jill of America, Inc., Chair of her Goldman Sachs 10KSB Alumni cohort, feeds the homeless, donates to various “Back to School” efforts and clothing drives and any opportunity to give back. She has also been recognized by the Queens Chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. as Community Leader of the Year and recently awarded a Women of Wall Street award in 2019.
Her dedication to making an impact on the world is only superseded by her dedication to her family. She is a wife, a mother of three girls and became a guardian for her younger brother after the death of her Mom. She lives the life of a “Legacy Maker.”
