I joined the Navy in 1997 working as a Jet Engine Mechanic. After serving a tour and getting out to join the reserves, I started work on the inspection deck (ISO) for DynCorp as an Aircraft Mechanic for the Presidential Support Fleet. This started my love for the compliance and training field and I now have over 20 years of experience in law, compliance and training.
I have a bachelors in Legal Studies, a masters in Human Resources Management and Legal Studies and am currently ABD, in a DBA with a focus on Legal Studies, Human Resources and Homeland Security.
I have compliance and training experience in a number of fields. Previously, I worked as a Paralegal for Senator Williard J. Moody's Law Firm in Portsmouth, VA. I have been a Customer Service Trainer for Atlantic Southeast Airlines, a Compliance Coordinator for American Eagle Airlines (RDU) and am the Corporate Compliance Director for Capitol Broadcasting Company, Inc. (Home of WRAL-TV, the Durham Bulls Baseball Club, Inc. and over 55 other organizations).
Now, I share my passion by speaking and training on the importance of transformational leadership in organizations and diversity & inclusion.
