In 45 minutes this session changes the narrative that about self-care. Through the use of hands-on interaction, candid personal experiences and clinical knowledge, this session addresses the dangerous and toxic glorification of "busy" that many women often ascribe to. This session emphasizes the importance of self-care to maintain mental wellness and prevent the onset of mental health issues such as Depression and Anxiety. Members of the audience increase their insight about being intentional, reciprocity and self-love.

This presentation increases insight and awareness about mental health. By the end of this presentation audience members will understand the difference between mental health and mental wellness. Audience members will be able to identify the church's role in supporting mental health treatment and the benefits of collaborating with mental health professionals. Audience members will leave with action steps that can be immediately implemented in their respective churches.
