Growing up in the tough streets of Over-the-Rhine in Cincinnati, he faced poverty and abuse from an early age, finding solace only in nature, and the dream of being a dr. After a tumultuous childhood marked by homelessness and dropping out of school, Ronald found himself in prison at twenty-one, serving almost seven years for felonious assault. But even in the confines of prison, Ronald's entrepreneurial spirit shone through. He sketched clothing designs as a means of coping with frustration and boredom, laying the foundation for what would later become Grapevine Collection. Upon his release, Ronald faced the harsh reality of reintegration into society, struggling to find employment and ending up homeless. He immersed himself in research at the Cincinnati Library, attended classes offered by the Small Business Association, and reached out to investors to bring his clothing line to fruition.
