Raphael Cohen-Almagor received his DPhil in political theory from Oxford University. He is Professor/Chair in Politics, and Founder and Director of the Middle East Study Group, University of Hull, the UK. Before Hull, he has taught at the departments of political science, law, philosophy and communication at Tel Aviv, Oxford, Jerusalem, Ben Gurion, Haifa, UCLA and Johns Hopkins universities. Dr. Avi Shilon holds a Ph.D in political science (Bar Ilan University) and M.A in Jewish History (Tel Aviv University). His dissertation focused on The Revisionist Movement Leaders' Attitudes toward Jewish religion, 1925-2005. Shilon's main research interests are in modern Jewish and Israeli history, with a particular focus on the Zionist right-wing and Israeli politics. His first book, "Menachem Begin: A Life", was published by Yale University press on 2012. His second book, "Ben Gurion, Epilogue" had been published by Am-Oved on 2013. The book explores Ben Gurion's world-view after his retirement. Laura Wharton, originally from the U.S., received a B.A. with honors in the Government Department of Harvard University before immigrating to Israel. She received an M.A. in Russian and Slavic Studies and Ph.D. in political science, both at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, writing a thesis on the social ideology and policy of the Israeli Labor Party, 1965-1977 advised by Prof. Itzhak Galnoor and Prof. Shlomo Avineri. Wharton was a doctoral fellow of the Hoffman Program for Leadership and Responsibility at the Hebrew University, has received grants from Yad Tabenkin, the Levi Eshkol Institute, and the Tal Foundation for research on social policy and teaches in the political science department at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. In addition, she is a lifelong political activist and today serves as a member of Jerusalem's City Council and the head of the opposition.

I am a historian and a lecturer in Nuclear Nonproliferation and Security at the Overseas School, Tel Aviv University. Over the last three years, I have been a research fellow at the Institute for National Security Studies, Tel Aviv University, specializing in missile defence, nuclear deterrence, NATO policy and nuclear weapons proliferation. I am a motivated urban and territorial planner who wants to enhance his knowledge with new high quality, professional and cultural experiences. In the last 4 years I have extended my professional knowledge with a practical experience, being involved in studies, projects, competitions and events in which I worked with international experts mainly from Netherlands, Italy and Spain. During this time, I’ve been involved in different forms in European projects, programmes and funding proposals. The projects developed and/or implemented during this period covered planning themes such as: sustainable development, urban revitalization, brownfield regeneration, community development, cultural tourism and energy efficiency. Additionally, I have also participated in urban planning and design competitions, and workshops. Concerning the above, I organized and coordinated a number of teams. With one of them, our project was awarded with first prize for the redevelopment of an urban park. (Other challenging competitions “Europan 11-Sestao” and “Green Tel Aviv”). For one year I worked entirely as a freelancer. During this time, I have gained management and leadership abilities due to the necessity of drafting and developing my own projects. The “Refresh Soveja 2012 – rural regeneration workshop” that I initiated, developed and implemented was considered by the participants a remarkable event. As a result of my active involvement, I have developed strong communication skills that now enable me to cooperate in any kind of team and to build an effective working method. Equally important, I have certified myself as a “project manager” and I have learned new aspects about: public policies, participatory planning, communication, sustainable development and mobility by participating in trainings. Aside from all these, I am passionate about photography which is for me a great instrument to study the processes and phenomena that are taking place in human settlements.

David Brennan set up his own media consultancy – Media Native – in 2011, specialising in the role of media within the 21st century digital landscape. Media Native clients include RTL, BBC, Sky, Royal Mail, Newsworks, Magnetic, EGTA, Deloittes and Discovery Channels. Previously, as Research & Strategy Director at Thinkbox (TV's marketing body), David was responsible for managing all of their research output, communicating the findings to the industry, and helping to change industry perceptions around the future role of broadcast television. He set up and managed a number of ground-breaking and award-winning projects, including the Thinkbox TV Engagement Study, The TV Payback Study, Brain Waves – How TV works on the Brain; and Tellyporting – a look at the future for connected television..
