Born and raised in Homewood, IL, Jason Shepherd dreamed of playing professional baseball for the Chicago Cubs and becoming an accomplished music songwriter and producer. He and his older brother were surrounded by music both at home and at their childhood church where his parents served faithfully. This foundation not only nurtured his musical talents but also fostered his love for serving people. Jason gave his life to Christ at a young age and became an active part of the youth choir ministry. Upon graduating high school, he entered Columbia College Chicago as a music major and earned a BA in music in 2001.
