As students' lives are often consisting of the straight path into university, and subsequently the - already dated - workplace, I am pleased to affirm that my approach is not like everyone else's. While still successfully attending school, I find the euphory to take action; even though a grain of luck can always be of help, I consistently elevated myself, through my diligence, wit (and probably stubbornness). However, as the days, of training by doing, went by, multitudes of skills developed. As the leader of one of Germany's most prestigious NGO project groups at UNICEF, I picked up project management. At the advisory council, I gained experience in public relations and NGO investment. Being a journalist at the most significant youth press Germany's, honed my ability to write, and the activity of competitive debating taught me how to articulate my thoughts, control my paralanguage, and made me think more profound and more critical about issues in politics, economics, and society than ever before. All these experience made me the person I am today and equipped me for future projects way better than deficient education ever could have. So, why don't we connect, and start changing this world?

She currently serves as an Elder and Youth Director at Restoration Community Church in Garner North Carolina, under the leadership of Pastors James and Ursula Rowland. She is a graduate of Saint Augustine’s College in Raleigh NC, with a degree in Mass Communications and a minor in Journalism. She also holds a Masters of Arts degree in Youth Pastoral and Family Counseling Services from Grand Canyon University. In addition to ministry, Chasty works in clinical research, where she serves on oncology and Internal medicine clinical trials. As Youth Director of TAG (The Anointed Generation) she manages a team of twelve teachers who serve students ranging from infants to high-school. Under her leadership, several ministries have developed and grown tremendously. Today, the TAG ministry consists of: A tutoring program, Boys Club, and “Sticks and Stones” ministry. The tutoring program helps students excel academically as their self-worth increases. The “Sticks and Stones” ministry is where she advocates for students in the school system protecting them against bullying. My name is Sangeetha Param from Bangalore India. I am 24 years old. I am a survivor of depression. I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder in November 2014 and have been battling it since then. Going through physical emotional and mental abuse since childhood, became one of the reasons of my depression. I want to talk about how I overcame this, how I am over coming this stigma. Depression is considered a stigma even today. I want to talk about it and show that it can be spoken about. I want to tell people that they can speak about it without being afraid of being judged by he society. I am an author and poet. I have written 2 books ' Key to Acceptance' and ' Echoes in my attic ' related to my depression. The young adults are the ones who are major victims of this epidemic me being one. My father is a cancer survivor and at the age of 11 I saw the battle he faced with death. It made me change the whole perspective towards life. Depression and cancer, two major epidemics of this age, both a stigma. Depression is the cancer in the mind which not many people accept. Hence, as a survivor, a social activist, a poet and author I would like to speak out my struggles and my battle. Also, I would like to emphasize on the stigma that people don't want to go to the psychiatrist and get treated as they would be termed as ' crazy'. I would like to give a talk and share my survival story as a recipient of depression. I am no counselor or doctor, I want to share how depression is dealt by a patient. I have also give a tedx talk. I will be giving another tedx talk.
