James Valentine, CFA, started his career as an equity research analyst, where the major North American investor polls ranked him among the top three in his sector for ten consecutive years and Forbes identified him, as one of the top three among all 2,000 U.S. sell-side analysts. At the height of his career as an analyst, he was asked to take on a newly-created role as Director of Training for Morgan Stanley’s Global Research department. After implementing a new global training program for 500 analysts and associates, he realized far too many buy-side and sell-side analysts were approaching this profession without a strategy, which held them back from generating alpha. To remedy this, he began his independent effort by writing the top-selling book Best Practices for Equity Research Analysts and then founded AnalystSolutions, to help all analysts and prospective analysts improve their stock picking and receive greater recognition for those calls.

Please visit angeliquelamour.com to learn more about me, read testimonials and view speaker videos. As the daughter of author Louis L’Amour, I grew up in the household of a prolific writer where storytelling was a way of life. I began writing for personal enjoyment as a child and went to college to pursue a history degree. I also studied at the University of Southern California in the School of Journalism and while there wrote and published a volume of quotes from my father’s works. Published by Bantam Doubleday Dell in 1988, A Trail of Memories spent 16 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list and was also a Publisher’s Weekly bestseller. After a detour through the film industry, I returned to my roots to write novels for the Young Adult market, spending time under the tutelage of Craig Virden, then head of Random House Books for Young Readers, perfecting my craft. As a cancer survivor, I now dedicate substantial time to advocacy and awareness efforts and recently published Chemo, Cupcakes and Carpools: How to Go through Chemo with Your Family, Your Marriage and Your Sanity Intact, and the companion organizer. After creating and teaching a Creative Writing program for students from 8-80, I recognized that I have a passion and a unique ability to help others bring their stories to life. I now have the fun and privilege of nurturing writers as an Author Coach, while I continue to pen my own stories. I love speaking for live events and teaching writing workshops balancing creativity with positivity.

Strong in her faith, she instilled a legacy of community service and giving back that led Quay to spearhead such initiatives as the Get Fed program (2016-2021) to feed those facing hunger in LaGrange. Quay continued the family legacy by starting a family of his own. In May of 2019, Quay became the doting husband to Jerika Smith, and they welcomed baby Harper to the family in 2021. Quay considers it a blessing to do life with such beautiful and amazing ladies. He is well known for doing just that throughout the city of LaGrange as a motivational speaker, author, community advocate, and District 2 City Councilman; with a 3 month stint of being the acting Mayor of LaGrange.
