Humanity on the Clock
Is Humanity on the Clock? Yes. Can we survive the current inertia? No. Is there Hope? Plenty. The Human Family is right now circling a drain to oblivion, placed there by the churn of perpetual conflict. Because humans are not natural enemies, what drives this rinse and repeat madness? The answer is knowable, and quite suddenly, it's the key to survival for the most remarkable species in the galaxy. Anthony A. Wall, Jr. (Tony), Founder and President of Noesis, explains why the human path to survival is blocked by evolutionary forces that drive conflict. Tony explains that Humanity must abandon its delusions, and view itself through a starkly realistic lens. We can't evict ancient motivators of conflict, but we CAN make friends with them. The answer is knowable. The only light to the FUTURE is that of the PAST. We need to like ourselves, and so we shall, by first viewing who we are, and how we got here. The More You Know, The Better
Cosmic Rarity
Human beings value rarity, but clearly not their OWN rarity. This lack of logical flow suggests that we're not remotely AWARE of our rarity. I'll fix that! We'll stay on Planet Earth to solve our concerns, but an idea of our exquisite rarity in the cosmos will help us to VALE ourselves. Would you value a Picasso? If so, then why not value the rarest of beings?
Perpetual Conflict
Is Noesis concerned with Climate Change. Yes. Are we concerned with Pandemic? Certainly. Are we concerned about a nuclear event. Sure. All of the above pale in comparison to the true deal-killer for our species, as it nears the cosmic barrier called, "The Great Filter". PERPETUAL CONFLICT IS NOT SURVIVABLE. "The Great Filter" is a logical answer to "The Fermi Paradox", which holds that sentient intelligence in the cosmos tends to destroy itself. Would the end of human existence be a cosmic tragedy? You bet. Would it also be typical? YES. Let's learn our RARITY, learn to UNDERSTAND ourselves, to CHOOSE survival--and thereby, to defeat, "The Great Filter".
Your perspective matters!
