This is an introductory presentation to human trafficking. It is designed to teach attendees the truth about human trafficking in their communities, how to recognize it, and how it affects them. Human trafficking is on the rise as a growing lucrative criminal enterprise. Traffickers utilize phycology-based methods to exploit vulnerabilities to manipulate their victims into believing they “choose” to be a slave. Traffickers use the internet to both recruit and sell their victims, profiting, while reducing the trafficker’s risk of detection. This course provides the attendees with the knowledge of terminology, methodology, indicators, intervention skills, and resources.
