David has a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Illinois State University where he also did his graduate work in Political Science. He was the 1996 recipient of the Great Lakes Association of College and University Housing Officers (GLACUHO) Outstanding Presentation Award for his award winning program titled: "Walk Your Talk". He is also certified in Emotional Intelligence and how to apply it in the workplace by Georgetown University.
