About
I believe understanding human behaviour can change the way we communicate, connect, and navigate challenges, both professionally and personally. As a Registered Psychotherapist with graduate backgrounds in Counselling Psychology and Dance Movement & Rehabilitation, I bring a perspective that connects psychological understanding with real-life application. Much of my clinical work involves helping individuals and couples navigate difficult conversations, relationship challenges, emotional reactions, boundaries, and significant life transitions. I bring those same insights into my speaking engagements, translating complex psychological concepts into conversations that feel relatable, engaging, and genuinely useful. What makes my approach different is that I'm not interested in simply telling people what they should do. I want them to understand why they respond the way they do, what influences those reactions, and where they have opportunities to make different choices. My presentations combine psychological education, relatable examples, practical strategies, and interactive learning. I aim to create an environment where audiences feel comfortable reflecting, asking questions, and exploring new perspectives without feeling judged or overwhelmed by clinical terminology. I don't promise to eliminate workplace stress, conflict, or difficult relationships. Instead, I help people develop the awareness and skills to navigate those experiences with greater clarity, intention, and confidence. My goal is simple: I want people to leave understanding themselves and others a little better, with something practical they can take into their next conversation, their workplace, and their everyday lives.

We often recognize stress only once we're already overwhelmed. But what happens before we reach that point, and why can it feel so difficult to recognize or communicate our limits? This interactive workshop explores the psychological and physiological experiences of stress, the relationship between emotional regulation and the nervous system, and the importance of developing healthy boundaries. Drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), DBT-informed skills, and body-based regulation techniques, Registered Psychotherapist Juliana Roman helps participants better understand how stress influences their thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and physical experiences. Participants explore how to identify early signs of overwhelm, recognize patterns that contribute to overextending themselves, and develop practical strategies for navigating stress and communicating boundaries more intentionally. The workshop also considers the role that workplace culture, organizational expectations, and leadership practices play in supporting sustainable well-being. Participants leave with greater awareness of their stress responses, practical emotional regulation strategies, and realistic tools for establishing boundaries that support both their professional and personal lives. Duration:90 minutes Format:Interactive workshop, virtual or in-person by arrangement Ideal Audience:Corporate teams, healthcare professionals, educators, leadership groups, workplace wellness events, and organizations navigating high demands or change.

Have you ever wondered why two people can experience the exact same situation yet respond in completely different ways? Our reactions are influenced by more than what is happening in front of us. Previous experiences, expectations, emotional needs, and learned behavioural patterns can all shape how we interpret situations and interact with others. In this engaging workshop, Registered Psychotherapist Juliana Roman introduces participants to the psychology behind human behaviour and emotional reactions. Drawing on attachment-informed perspectives, Gestalt Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)-informed concepts, the workshop explores why people may become defensive, withdraw, jump to conclusions, seek reassurance, or struggle to communicate their needs. Through practical examples and interactive exercises, participants learn to recognize behavioural patterns, challenge assumptions, and approach interpersonal situations with greater curiosity and understanding. Rather than labelling behaviours as simply good or bad, this workshop encourages participants to consider what may be influencing a person's response while maintaining appropriate expectations and accountability. Participants leave with a deeper understanding of themselves and others, greater awareness of interpersonal dynamics, and practical strategies for navigating relationships and workplace interactions more effectively.
