About
I don’t speak about resilience from a textbook. I speak from lived experience, hard-earned insight, and a deep understanding of what it actually takes to rebuild when life changes beyond recognition. My work combines powerful storytelling with practical, evidence-informed tools that help people move from simply coping to actively creating what comes next. Through my Emotional Resilience Architecture (ERA) framework, I help audiences reconnect with their inner drive, strengthen their sense of agency, think more creatively under pressure, and adapt more effectively when circumstances change. What makes my approach different is that I do not promote resilience as “just cope better” or “think positive.” I challenge individuals and organisations to look honestly at both personal responsibility and the environments, systems, and pressures that shape wellbeing and performance. As a speaker, author, entrepreneur, and resilience specialist, I bring warmth, humour, honesty, and substance to every room. My sessions are designed to be memorable, practical, and deeply human, giving audiences not only inspiration in the moment, but ideas they can actually use afterwards. If you want a speaker who can connect real experience with meaningful insight and leave people asking not “why me?” but “what now?”, I bring that conversation to life.
Resilience is a system that can be learned, not a character trait
In this keynote, Kate shares her journey of recovery and resilience, and how it led to the creation of the framework that anyone can use to develop their own resilience. She talks about the significance of the internal flame that kept her going despite the worst of circumstances, translating that into actionable strategies for the audience. She also shares how the ERA Framework came into existence and how true resilience is tested and developed in the face of seemingly insurmountable challenges. A must for anyone struggling with their own circumstances and needing both strategies and hope.
