There Are Two Types of Parents, Which One Are You?
Parent Keynote Sam believes there are two types of parents. The first parent thinks that their child is amazing they’re never gonna suffer from depression, my kids not getting bullied, and they definitely won’t experiment with drugs or alcohol. The second parent just has no idea. He feels that his parents fell into both categories. They never thought not for one second that sweet, innocent little Sammy would take a drink from the liquor cabinet at 12 years old. But when he did, they had no idea. If they did, they had no idea how to handle the situation. Would you? Let him educate your parents: 1. The reality that there is no gateway drugs, only gateway behavior which is often a symptom of learned behavior. 2. It’s called learned behavior for a reason. Learning is a part of education and education starts at home. 3. Don’t be one of the parents that had no idea 4. A few things my parents wish they knew 5. How to spot the onset of changes in behavior and what to do about them
Is It Odd or Is It God?
Faith-Based Keynote When Sam got sober, he said to himself, “I found God.” That wasn’t true, God wasn’t lost, Sam was. God found him. The real truth was that he turned his back on God, but God never turned His back on Sam. There are too many divine elements of his story that he can’t share in public schools; so he’s humbled and grateful when gets to show off the glory of what God has done in his life. You may be asking yourself, “What has He done Sam?” Well let him tell you. He has taken the ugliest, darkest, filthiest moments of Sam’s life and not only fixed them, but He turned them into something beautiful. Allow Sam to bring this life changing testimony to your community and congregation and he guarantees you will say, “it’s the best assembly you ever hosted!” By the end of his testimony your audience will fully understand that sometimes God will not meet our expectations, because He plans on exceeding them.
Your perspective matters!
