Dr. V recently delivered an electric, personal, and moving keynote address for Bradley University's Black Student Summit. Over 70 students sat intently engaged during her remarks. On the program evaluation, one student wrote: "The keynote speaker gave a lot of great advice and history that i did not know about. It was very relatable and she spoke about things that most people aren’t comfortable with when others are around. She touched on things that I was not consciously aware of. She made me want to speak out more and take action." This student's reflection illustrates Dr. V's impressive and humanizing balance between research, authenticity, and empowerment in her work. Informally, I believe more than 50% of the students made some contact with her following her keynote address, as she returned to her seat. Amazing, absolutely amazing! Thank you Dr. V!
