Mindy Henderson
Mindy Henderson

Motivational Speaker

Austin, Texas

Mindy Anne Henderson began life as a happy and healthy baby. At the age of 15 months, however, that all changed. She was diagnosed with a neuromuscular illness called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Her parents were told she would never walk and that she would not live to be three. Mindy beat the odds, and despite spending life in a wheelchair, she now has on her list of credits: 1. A Bachelor’s and Master’s degree 2. A one-on-one battle fought and won with the government of the People’s Republic of China & a trip to one of the least wheelchair accessible countries on the planet to adopt her daughter 4. A successful career in software, leading teams of highly skilled professionals 5. Multiple singing appearances on national television 6. A CD recorded with George Strait’s guitar and bass players 7. A long list of public speaking credits, addressing thousands of volunteers of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), MDA staff and corporate executives for companies such as 7-11, Acosta, 7-Up and ERA 8. A passion for making the impossible, possible. Through her early experiences as the Texas and, subsequently, Florida State Poster Child for the MDA, Mindy learned that she could make a special contribution to something meaningful. She believes that everything happens for a reason and that (at a minimum), if we can accept life’s challenges with grace, courage, openness and faith, we can find peace. With great passion, Mindy writes and speaks to audiences in hopes of inspiring, teaching and entertaining. Her greatest wish is to bring hope to others and to show others through her story, how rich their own lives truly are.

Jessica I. Morales, C.Ht.

Speaker & Mind Strategist

Los Angeles, United States

Jessica grew up in the projects of NYC in a low income neighborhood. She received a 4 year mentorship/scholarship by a VP at Morgan Stanley and was the first in her family to graduate high school and college, Fordham University. At 16, she became the youngest Criminal Clerk to work for the US District Attorney's office. She moved to Hollywood, was on shows like General Hospital, ABC's The Forgotten and in Black Panther's Director, Ryan Coogler's first film picked up by HBO. She remains a member of the Screen Actor's Guild and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. She is an instructor on Positive Mindset for Performing Artists and writes for Backstage Magazine. Jessica's greatest challenge and proudest moment was living alongside her mother at a palliative care facility during the last months of her mom's life. She was able to spend quality time with other souls facing terminal cancer, alzheimers and other families struggling to cope. She became a strong advocate and leader within the group. At the conclusion of this journey, she decided to return to school and delve into studies/research on what makes people thrive and what makes life worth living. This led to her specialty and speaking at the Western Positive Psychology Conference across the past two years. She is currently writing a book about her experience living with those with 6 months or less to live and lessons learned about resilience and humanity. Her joy is working with teams within the business world because so much of one's time is invested at work. If we can get to feeling our best selves at work, we will take home these feelings, further impacting our family systems and communities. With over 20 years in business development and marketing for companies like McCann-Erickson, WET Design, Gruner & Jahr and AOL/Time Warner, Jessica balances the meaningful work we must do for our spirit so that we can flourish in our career and purpose. Afterall, studies show, happier employees are more productive. She asks, "what would make you happy? What is it in your subconcious mind that keeps you from living it?" She will help you unlock those blocks. What does it take to seed a significant change for the long-term? Jessica begins with the mind and why it is critical to get in front of it if authentic self improvement is going to take root. Many people do not understand how the mind operates or how to optimize its functions. With a mastery of the language of the mind, Jessica equips you with tools and techniques to get you in the driver's seat. She is finalizing the content/design of a journal with the intention of helping others optimize their mind's full potential for a life of inner joy. IG @beYOUbloom
