Born and raised in Homewood, IL, Jason Shepherd dreamed of playing professional baseball for the Chicago Cubs and becoming an accomplished music songwriter and producer. He and his older brother were surrounded by music both at home and at their childhood church where his parents served faithfully. In 2018 Jason partnered with his father Josephus and his brother Dr. Jonathan Shepherd to launch the Shepherd Training and Empowerment Institute; a company geared towards leadership development and coaching. This new family endeavor also prompted him to create the life coaching firm “UP Coaching: Unleashed Purpose” to help people create massive visions for their life and develop the necessary tools to act fearlessly in achieving their strategic goals. Jason married the love of his life Stacie in 2005. They have a genuine friendship and partnership that continues to grow by the day. They have 2 loving children, Brooke and Jonah. I loved the vibe and environment of Florida, and I always knew when I had children I wanted to raise them there. So when I found myself single and pregnant after a7 years on and off again relationship. I trusted in a higher purpose and allowed myself to be guided to begin the next chapter of my life. I was starting over, building my life in our new surroundings. I began to work on self-development, learning to be strong so I could support my daughter and family. I began a journey of change and letting go of the past. I worked on breaking through my limiting beliefs of not being worthy enough or being empowered to live the life I wanted to live. I had to destroy the belief that I couldn’t change my life. I started new habits and shifted my mindset. I began meditation and working out to feed the mind/body/spirit. I noticed that my life was growing as a result of these new habits. I was attracting better opportunities and healthier people into my life. I started living with a purpose. I began to shift my career to focus on pathways to stay home with my daughter and mother, being near my family was very important to me. I did not want to miss her growing up. It was important for me to create memories with my young daughter and aging mother. I saw an opportunity that it was possible to create my own business and successfully support my family. I wanted to be an example to my daughter to empower her to be anything she wanted to be. I found ways to start to work at home and educate myself on what it took to run my own business. I continued on changing my mindset to grow my skill sets and become visible. I felt a strong desire to be seen, and I became brave enough to put myself out there in a new way. I was also compelled to help other women overcome their own limiting beliefs, and become open to receiving love. Now I am blessed to help other driven women do the same.
